The Khatri Parivaar

After 2 years, we had meaningful fellowship with our families and relatives in Kullu and Chamba, Himachal Pradesh during our biennial leave (19 th March – 24 th April 2019). We also had privilege to have fellowship with believers at Shalwar, Kullu, Raison and Katrain; and shared the Word in Sundays. Especially we rejoiced in the Lord seeing the growth in Raison Fellowship, which God enabled us to conduct first Sunday Service on 14 th August,   2014.  When I stood to share the Word in Raison Fellowship on 25th March, 2019, God spoke me through Isaiah 54:1. All memories were flashed back. We were considered like a barren women while we were in Raison. My aunty Mrs. Prem Devi, who worked in Manali Mission Hospital till her retirement, is the first believer in our family. She used to come to us and to share about Jesus Christ. While I was 12 years old, I began to attend a house fellowship which was being conducted in nearby our village in Patlikulha. But my father opposed me to go there. That’s why I faced opposition even from my relatives.  I used to go fellowship for Sunday service without telling to my family. Reena and I were born and brought up in Hindu Family. We never had an idea that what would be ahead for us. In July 2009, I met Reena at Christ Church, Kullu and we had a small conversation, just a greetings. In that day, I had no idea that She had been facing opposition because of her faith in Christ. I was an evangelist serving among the Nepalis people in Kullu. She was a believer who attend a house fellowship in Patlikulah nearby her village Katrain. My friends and well wishers were looking for a suitable girl for me whom I might marry. I had never even thought about her (Reena) to marry, but God's ways are different than ours (Isaiah 55:8). In HIS perfect time, the Lord arranged our marriage so beautifully, although her parents who are Hindus, were not happy for this marriage. But they didn't oppose or hinder us to marry.
